Years ago I worked on an indie film called Veil, written and directed by Mark Seabrooks. Good guy, that Mark. Anyway, he hired a good cinematography crew although I was only friendly with the stedicam guy.
Where am I going with this? I was reading a recent issue of Audi Quarterly about a photographer and camera operator named Kurt Jones including a photo of he and his wife. He looked really familar so I punched up my address book. Yep, it’s that Kurt Jones from the shoot. Check out his site and look for the photo of the surfer and dolphin. It’s an example of being in the right place at the right time to catch something special.

Chilly D and I saw Audioslave last week. Good show from 30 Seconds to Mars and Seether as well as tons ‘o fun with RATM, Temple of the Dog, and Soundgarden tunes.
I’ve figured out Seether’s secret sauce: add one part Foo Fighters, one part Nirvana, and a dash of Live.

I wait with bated breath for the next shipment from China, where overworked Chinese are slaving away for $1/hour to make my life more fun.

blog/xbox360_logo.jpgCNET news reports that CNN and the New York Post say the new Xbox is “good, but not great” and “don’t buy it.” Reasons? The price ($299 and $399) and lack of a “killer app.” They’re also waiting to see what the Sony PS3 and Nintendo Revolution will do.
That’s some speculative and poor logic.
