JC Penney portraits
We arrived in the greeting area. Wonderfully framed photos of father and son in loving embraces hung on the wall but I was skeptical. “Stock photos,” I said to the wife and she recoiled in shock. “They couldn’t possibly have used stock images for fear of a lawsuit.”
As the thumbnail shows, the experience got interesting.
Himself was peacefully resting in his car seat when the wife announces she’d like a photo of he and I. Me clothed, him in his birthday suit.
A cute idea but he hates being naked. So the crying began, followed quickly be a warm stream of pee drenching my shirt. Ah, parenthood.
He and mom duck out of the studio to calm down while I borrow a hairdryer from the hair salon and dry off.
Round Two.
Fully clothed this time, we try some classic poses. Cry, cry, cry. Nothing is coming out very well and the photographer suggests we cup his feet in our hands. Thus is born the inset photo which, sans hands, look more like he fell over during the shoot.
