I figured I’d get some logging done and discovered that scrubbing through my sequence didn’t play it in the Canvas. Instead, the Canvas was white with a black X in the upper right.

The solution seems to be selecting the third pop-up menu and selecting RGB instead of Alpha. I’m guessing Alpha may have been set when I was creating Titles. Just a guess mind you.
