Where’s Waldo?

Published by Eric at 12:47 pm under Musings

If I were Waldo then it’s a valid question. The last thirty days have been a whirlwind of activity involving cars, planes, houses, lakes, weddings, and limited Internet access. To sum it up…

Given notice by our landlord that she’s moving her daughter into the house we rent. That prompted a quick sign-up with WestWideRentals.com and a trip to my real estate agent. After much visiting of rentals, then MLS entries, we’re buying a townhome. More later.

I’ve flown to New York twice: once for a bachelor party and the following week for the wedding of my brother. Too much beer, too many Jersey Jughandles, and then a bit of R&R with the folks.

Not resting on our laurels we jetted to Buffalo and drove into Toronto for two nights with extended in-laws. For some reason it’s expected that I consume whatever beer is left in the place so I was greeted with such. No, I didn’t make it through all of it notwithstanding it was light beer.

Packing a minivan, we and the in-laws drove to Lake Muskoka for a week of lakeside lounging culminated with my triumphant win in kayak races. Unfortunately the win was underappreciated with my father-in-law complaining of a listing boat (it was leaning port in sync with the leaning of his backside on the seat) and my wife pooping out on the return lap. I was racing against the sound of my own splashes and, at the dock, surprised to find no one behind me. Photos? Pending in iPhoto.

August? Purging, packing, moving.
