New attitude on sports
I’ve never been much of a sports person. Sitting in the front of the tele for hours at a stretch and listening to my couch-potato friends shout at the screen isn’t my idea of fun.
Yet I’ve realized my lack in interest in sports has cultivated in me a non-competitive nature. The ramifications of which have influenced everything I’ve done in my life.
For 2006 I’ve decided to stop avoiding sports and, instead, embrace the games. Learn a bit on who to watch in football and basketball but I’ll leave baseball for another season when I have the patience to watch paint dry.
I’m off to a good start. Late December I had second row, rink corner seats for the Coyote / Kings (hockey) game in Phoenix. That’s a great game…hockey. Fast paced, short game time, and tons of energy.
Last night was the USC / Texas game which I had to abandon at the 3rd quarter. The game really unfolded in the 4th but, alas, USC was not to win.
