BACKGROUND
My love for film started as a young boy, sitting in an empty theater watching the final showing of the original Star Wars’ re-release. Like many, it captured my imagination but it would take years and a career change to realize my dream of working in film.
A former computer professional, I’ve worked for Fortune 100 companies, start-ups, and higher education building high-capacity file server and streaming video networks. I leveraged my ability to quickly assimilate technology to segue into a career as a film editor.
My technology experience provides a unique freedom to focus on the craft of Editing and my passion for storytelling.
PICTURE EDITOR
My first narrative feature (BEDROOMS) starring Julie Benz, Xander Berkeley, Dee Wallace, Barry Bostwick and others won two Best Feature awards and aired on Showtime. The next project (IJE THE JOURNEY) a Nigerian-American film starring two of that country’s leading actresses, Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, became one of Nigeria’s top grossing films while winning awards for Best Editing and Best Feature.
My latest film (FILLY BROWN) is a Latin-themed urban music drama starring Edward James Olmos, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Jenni Rivera. It was an Official Selection in the U.S. Dramatic category at Sundance 2012.
ASSISTANT EDITOR
As an assistant editor, my credits include THE GREEN GODDESS, FINDING GAUGUIN, and ELEKTRA LUXX which have screened at SXSW and other festivals. More recently I’ve worked on HOTEL NOIR starring Carla Gugino, Rufus Sewell, Malin Ackerman, Danny DeVito and others.
Another recent project called THE SESSIONS starring Helen Hunt, John Hawkes and William H. Macy was recipient of the Special Grand Jury Prize for Ensemble Acting and the Audience Award at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

PERSONAL
A long-time resident of Los Angeles, I give back to the community when I can.
I’ve volunteered with Orange County CoastKeeper to reforest kelp along the coast of Newport Beach CA in an effort to restore local aquatic species whose survival relies on the lush kelp beds.
Through Beach Cities Masonic Lodge in Manhattan Beach CA, I participate in programs to award high school students with college scholarships and provide resources to underfunded local shools.
A founder of South Bay Filmmakers, the group’s purpose is to educate and raise awareness of filmmakers living in the southern region of Los Angeles County. Monthly events include guest speakers from the entertainment industry who educate and inspire members to further their craft and career.
In between projects I work with a non-profit organization promoting research and treatment in the study of pediatric oncology.
