thx for the hint, but I couldn’t fix it until yesterday so I exported, reisntalled, using wp 2.7 beta3 and imported. almost everything is good again

Perhaps there is a nuance to using the root folder rather than a subfolder. You may want to investigate the 404 errors as they may point you in a direction of content related to a plug-in.

sorry to bother you again, but now I have a problem. My server shows me 80% cpu utilization, and my page works extremely slowly. Some pages still give an 404 error, but thats besides the point.
Even if I disable all plugins, put the site into maintenance mode, when I browse through the backend the CPU utilization still spikes to 80%.

Must be some redirect loop or other faults

All other pages on the server run smoothly…

any ideas what t ocheck?

I jsut decided to move my blog from within the folder wordpress/ to the root and these tipps jsut saved my life
